I haven't played around with my CTF's for a while, so a little while ago I tried to do a different loadout on my CTF-1X - still a fairly capable 'mech.
I swapped-out an Ultra AC/5 in the Right Torso and wanted to try-out the Rotary AC/5. Provisioned it to the Right Torso with appropriate ammo, I took the 1X out to the Testing Grounds and chose "Canyon Network" to see how this new weapon perfomed.
I had the weapon mapped to my Group 3 (Q Key), and tried to spin it up - NO JOY!
Checked my keyboard configs, tried to fire again - NO JOY!
Dropped from the map, went back into the Lab and went back to the Ultra AC/5 config, went back to "Canyon Network", and my Group 3 weapon fired with no problem.
So....Bug? Or does the RAC's only work on Arm slots?

Ima stab at this one and say check to see if you've toggled chain fire mode.
Rac' s don't fire in chain fire mode.

because whoever wrote the weapon mechanics doesnt understand the mechwarrior fire control system. its as if they ignore its existence or something. chain fire should just fire a short burst of rounds and then go to the next gun, or interleave the rounds between multiple racs.
